Decarbonization In Energy And Manufacturing
Event Navigation

As the U.A.E, Saudi Arabia and other GCC countries aim to transition to low carbon economies and achieve Net Zero emission goals, the energy and manufacturing sectors’ role in driving the region’s decarbonization agenda cannot be overstated.
The launch edition of the Decarbonization in Energy & Manufacturing Conference served as a critical platform for fostering collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and the exchange of innovative ideas between sustainability professionals from the MENA region. The conference brought together experts, industry leaders, policymakers, and discussed strategies, road-maps, challenges and solutions for MENA’s energy and manufacturing sector. Further the discussions revolved around current and future initiatives by key industry players in the oil & gas and manufacturing industry sector, while technologies aimed at meeting carbon neutrality were highlighted.
Through presentations, panel discussions and fire-side chats, the conference explored the remarkable potential of carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) technology in mitigating greenhouse gas emissions, the role of green hydrogen, a versatile energy carrier, and its application across industries and the importance of energy efficiency optimization and electrification in transforming our manufacturing processes.
The conference, also served to forge partnerships and build networks through its extensive networking opportunities across the two days.
